One of my all time favourite kitchen design companies is deVOL Philip deVries and Paul O’Leary founded the company in 1989.

From the moment I watched their Design Show ‘For the love of Kitchens’ I was hooked. Paul O’Leary and Helen Parker are so easy to watch with their gentle and beautiful design aesthetics. The elegance and functionality of their kitchens is just so amazing. Like grandma’s kitchen updated, warm, cozy, a little cluttered and full of love.
The colours deVOL use in their spaces can be bold and moody or light and airy, with such a diverse spectrum they can transform any space into one that is perfectly suited to their client’s family needs.

If you’re planning a home renovation, I can’t recommend this programme enough. Paul and Helen do such a brilliant job of walking you through their designs — you’ll come away overflowing with ideas and inspiration for your own projects. Trust me, it’s one to have on your must-watch list.
And of course, I can’t talk about beautiful design without mentioning deVOL. Their kitchen cabinets are pure craftsmanship at its finest. But it doesn’t stop there — their online store is a treasure trove of gorgeous finds. From beautifully scented candles to vintage-inspired tableware, every piece feels special.
They offer individual handmade tiles, a dreamy collection of simple stools, chairs, and tables, plus an incredible range of brackets, rails, and hooks — all hand-aged to absolute perfection in their Metal Studio. And don’t even get me started on their delicate ceramic and glass lights or the hand-crafted switches and sockets — the level of detail is just stunning.
If you love thoughtful, timeless design, deVOL’s world is definitely worth diving into.
If only I could afford a deVOL kitchen — a girl can dream, right? For now, I happily take inspiration from their beautiful designs and stunning colour palettes. I fell head over heels for one of the paint colours they used in one of their dreamy kitchens, so I decided to take a chance and email them, hoping to find out the closest RAL colour match.
To my surprise (and absolute delight), they replied with exactly the information I needed! Thanks to their incredibly helpful customer service team, I was able to recreate a similar look for a cabinet I was refurbishing — and it turned out beautifully. It just goes to show, even if you can’t have the whole kitchen, a little bit of deVOL magic can still find its way into your home.
Have fun checking out deVOL
